Vroom, vroom! You’ll want to buckle up for Push Gaming’s new post-apocalyptic online slot release, Mad Cars, where modified vehicles with spikes and machine guns compete in what has become known to those in the wastelands as the Mad Race.
Now available network-wide, everything about the B2B gaming supplier‘s latest title including the soundtrack, setting, punk petrolhead characters, and the overall vibe is reminiscent of the Australian action film Mad Max: Fury Road and the dystopian action thriller, Death Race. So, yeah, you’re in for the ride of your life!
“Mad Cars delivers our players a title unlike any other on the market.”
This exciting video slot is played on a 5-reel, 6-row panel, with 50 win lines, and packs quite a punch with Instant Prize Car symbols and Multipliers, a Boost Reel and a Mad Bonus feature where these tricked-out cars race to cross the finish line at the top of the reels for free spins and a max win of 25,000x!
For play on any device, the action here is without a doubt highly volatile and has a return to player (RTP) value that ranges from 88.49 percent at the low end to a high of 96.39 percent – depending on the market. Players can choose stakes from 10 p/c to £/€100 as they race across the board to land winning combinations of three to five matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the far left side.
Game Symbols & Paytable:
As for the game’s symbols, in ascending value there is an orange traffic cone with a gnarly-looking knife sliced through it, a weaponized wrench with spikes on one end and a heavy chain attached, a purple and gold steering wheel with spikes and a skull centerpiece, and a pair of dice that are far from fuzzy, with spikes instead.
These all pay 5 times the bet for landing five-of-a-kind. Increasing on the paytable, four “survivor” character symbols, each more Immortan Joe-looking than the last, are worth 20-100x the bet for five-of-a-kind the same way.
While there are no wild symbols in Mad Car, there are a range of other symbols, one of which is Instant Prize Car symbols which can land on any reel, but only one per reel and only on the bottom row, have bet multipliers of 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x and 100x. Once per race, these car symbols can cross the top reel and will award an instant win with multiple cars able to finish simultaneously. Scatter Car symbols land randomly on the bottom row and when they pass the top row, trigger the Mad Bonus feature. The former are worth an award of 10x the bet, which cannot be multiplied.
During base gameplay, a special Boost Reel can be found at the top of the grid and reveals Multipliers, Gas, Multiplier & Gas Combo, Surviror, or Blank spaces. These symbols are activated any time they align with an Instant Prize Car symbol below them:
- Multipliers – multiplies the value of the Instant Prize Car symbols by x2 to x100.
- Gas – moves the Car symbols forward by 1-6 positions, corresponding to the displayed value.
- Multiplier & Gas Combo – multiplies the value and moves Car symbols, according to the revealed value.
- Survivor – keeps the Car Symbol from spinning off the reels, when another Cars symbol exceeds the reels. Then, the Survivor function deactivates from it.
- Blank – this symbol has no effect on ANY of the symbols.
Mad Bonus Feature:
When a Scatter Car symbol crosses the top row, the Mad Bonus feature is triggered and 7 free spins are awarded. The start of the feature sees 5 Instant Prize Car symbols placed on the bottom row, and regular symbols removed from the reels. Any Car symbol crossing the top row sees another added at the bottom of the reel, and +1 free spin awarded.
The symbols in the Boost Reel are the same as those in the base game, with the exception of the Survivor symbol. Also, some additional modifier symbols can land on the Boost Reel in the Mad Bonus feature, including Line Up, Persistent Payer, Persistent Collector and the Combo of the latter two. The corresponding actions are as follows:
- Line Up – when this is applied to an Instant Prize Car symbol, all other Instant Prize Car symbols are aligned in the same row.
- Persistent Payer – distributes their values to all other Instant Prize Car symbols for the current spin or any future spins while it’s still on the reels. This symbol does not self-pay.
- Persistent Collector – collects values from all Instant Prize Car symbols that are still on the reels and all spins after when it is present. Does not self-pay.
- Persistent Payer & Collector Combo – distributes its value to all other Instant Prize Car symbols, then collects the prize values from all other Instant Prize Car symbols. This is done on the current spin and all following spins. Does not self-pay.
Additionally, the Mad Race feature can be randomly triggered after the final free spin. When that happens, all Instant Prize Car symbols cross the top row and pay regardless of the position they’re in.
Bonus Buy Option:
Finally, depending on the market you’re playing in, if you click on the star icon located on the far right side of the grid, you can choose from four options in the Bonus Buy menu.
Choose from the regular Mad Bonus for 115.7x the current bet; the Payer Bonus, where from the beginning of the Mad Bonus feature a Persistent Collector Instant Prize car is guaranteed for 301x the bet; the Collector Bonus, which also guarantees a Persistent Collector for 456x the bet; and lastly, for 624x the bet, the Mystery Mad Bonus feature, where one of the previous options or one that has a Persistent Pay & Collector can be won.
Highly Immersive Slot:
Commenting on the release, James Marshall, CEO at Push Gaming said…
“Mad Cars delivers our players a title unlike any other on the market, it will see symbols racing to the finish line across the reels upgrading their wins as they battle for first place.
“I’m incredibly proud of our team’s work in creating such a transformative and unique post-apocalyptic designed title. These elements coupled with a max win of 25,000x means that we are particularly excited to see player’s reaction to this highly immersive game.”
The design and theme of Mad Cars is not the usual “light-hearted fun tone” experienced in a lot of the British game provider’s previous hits such as Fat Rabbit, from the “Fat” series, or Jammin’ Jars, further demonstrating its ability to develop titles that span a wide-range of themes. A quality that enables Push Gaming to cater to a diverse and growing audience across the globe.
