On Tuesday, October 26th, 2021 AC Milan struggled once again in their match against Torino, but they came out victorious with the 1 to nil win to presently move in to first place of Serie A by 3 points.
Olivier Giroud netted the lone goal of the contest during the 14th minute of play in order to help AC Milan move clear of the current 2nd – place Napoli in the Serie A standings, which hosts Bologna on Thursday, October 28th, 2021.
Associazione Calcio Milan is currently still dealing with an injury crisis, but their defender Theo Hernández was in great need for a spot on the bench as he continues to recover from the draining and dangerous symptoms of the deadly coronavirus.
Milan was the only team in the top six places of the standings in Serie A to win a match over the weekend, but they only narrowly avoided severe embarrassment as 2 late goal scores propelled them to defeat the 9 – man squad of Bologna with a final tally of 4 to 2.

However, Milan barely had another sight of a goal in what can really only be considered a mediocre match at best. Torino was close with one of its best scoring opportunities that eventually failed in the 76th minute as Antonio Sanabria ran onto a through – ball, but the AC Milan goalkeeper, Ciprian Tătărușanu, managed to stop Sanabria’s effort followed by Fikayo Tomori clearing the loose change off of the line.
The visiting side also came close to scoring an equalizer late in this match. Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinković – Savić had come up for a free – kick, and Milinković – Savić remained up in the in the area for the ensuing corner Torino was looking to strike on. Vanja succeeded to flick the rock on toward his teammate Sanabria, but the striker could not manage to adjust in order to get a proper shot on goal before Milan cleared the ball downfield, much to the enjoyment of Milan’s manager Stefano Pioli who celebrated the huge defensive effort as if his team had scored a smooth goal.
Pioli is hoping to have more of his primary – choice footballers back as Milan heads into a tough week in which The Rossoneri faces off against title rivals in Roma as well as Inter Milan on either side of a match versus Porto in the Champions League, where Porto just so happens to be in the bottom of their group with a dismal zero points as of now.
