Sweden’s Musikhjälpen got a big boost this year thanks to a collaboration between Hajper casino and Patric Persson, a Padel enthusiast and ambassador for the casino in the ComeOn Group.

Each December, the Swedish donation drive endeavors to bring a currently pressing humanitarian crisis to the public’s awareness in order to raise funds and address the problem. Patric Persson is the frontman for Hajper and a well-known Padel player. This year he has set up his own fundraising effort in an attempt to raise 1 million SEK for the Musikhjälpen cause this year.

The theme for this year’s “music aid” is “A world without child labor” and the drive’s central message is that each and every child deserves their childhood to be safe.

Child Labor Crisis Rampant

The organization states that there have been about 160 million cases of children being forced to work and that child labor is increasing rather than decreasing as time goes by. The group hopes that they can raise enough funds to influence and educate parents and children as well as governments and other authorities to change the practice of child labor.

Funding would go toward free schooling to help children stay in school, seeing that as one way to address the problem directly.

Beyond responsible gambling policies, ComeOn Group takes its global Corporate Social Responsibility seriously, resulting in an active stance.

On December 17, over 30 people took part in an invitational Padel tournament for the cause. Well-known profiles to Swedes took part in the event sponsored by Hajper. Among the attendees scheduled were DJs such as John de Sohn; Andreas Isaksson and Johan Olsson – both former national football stars; Gustaf Ollas and Hugo Rosas, the entrepreneurs who founded Icaniwill and Clean, as well as poker personalities.

Persson streamed the event, held at Ultimate Padel in Upplands Väsby, Stockholm on his Youtube channel. While you may have missed the live streaming event, it was recorded for posterity. Readers can find more here as well as learn about ways to help.

Hajper Matched Donations

In last year’s event, there was a total of 48 million raised. All donations made during the live event this year were matched by Hajper, doubling participants’ individual impacts on the child labor crisis. All told, this singular event will contribute over 1 million SEK.

Musikhjälpen is a marathon 144-hour event featuring three well-known hosts broadcasting television and radio from a glass cage, that occurs in December. Sweden’s P3 Sveriges Radio, SVT, and Radiohjälpen collaborate to produce the event designed to shed light on an ongoing or other current humanitarian crisis.

Patric Persson was named Padel Profile of The Year 2020 in Sweden.

ComeOn Group employs over 500 people across seven locations and maintains an extensive brand portfolio.
