Pragmatic Play launches fruit-themed Extra Juicy upgraded sequel with Megaways mechanic

iGaming content provider Pragmatic Play is releasing its latest title, Extra Juicy Megaways, the company announced on Thursday. The new game, which Pragmatic describes as a “fruity fiesta” and a “colorful creation,” acts as a sequel to the provider’s fruits-themed hit Extra Juicy, while adding the Megaways mechanic.

The new upgraded version of the game features familiar fruit symbols, lucky 7’s, bells and diamonds reappearing on the reels. It contains classic features, such as tumbling wins, as well as a gamble feature prior to the Free Spins mode.

The bonus round is launched when four or more Diamond Scatter symbols land on a single spin, awarding a minimum of 12 spins, the company explains. Players can gamble these for more on the wheel, or progress straight to the spins.

During this round, diamond symbols transform into multipliers of anything from 3x to 15x, with all multipliers occurring on the reels accumulating together during winning spins for what Pragmatic describes as a gigantic win potential of up to 5,000x on a single spin.

Extra Juicy Megaways also contains Pragmatic Play’s Ante Bet feature, where there is a higher chance to win free spins for an increased bet stake. In certain jurisdictions, it is possible to progress directly through to the free spins mode through the buy feature, a press release says.

“Extra Juicy Megaways™ builds on a classic existing title and adds the exciting Megaways™ mechanic,” said Yossi Barzely, Chief Business Development Officer at Pragmatic Play. “Combining engaging gameplay with an ever-popular theme, it is another strong addition to our growing games portfolio.”

Pragmatic Play provides the online gaming industry with what it describes as “innovative, regulated and mobile-focused” gaming products. The company currently produces up to five new slot titles a month, while also delivering live casino, virtual sports and bingo games in a multi-product portfolio available through one single API.

The company’s games library currently contains in-house content consisting of over 200 proven HTML5 games, available in multiple currencies, 31 languages and all major certified markets. Pragmatic intends to further expand its current rate of up to five new video slots per month.

The new Extra Juicy Megaways title becomes the latest sequel in Pragmatic Play’s portfolio, following the Big Bass series of games, the popular John Hunter collection and Chilli Heat Megaways, the business explains.

It also follows the launch earlier this week of slot title Snakes and Ladders Megadice, based on a classic board game. The retro-inspired game is played on a 5×3 grid that provides 10 fixed paylines, featuring artwork influenced by an old-school, 8-bit aesthetic and high-paying symbols that arrive in the form of Bananas, Gorillas, as well as Snakes and Ladders.

“Snakes and Ladders Megadice blends all the joys of playing classic board games with the action and excitement of modern gaming experiences,” said Barzely of the product. “We are thrilled with how the aesthetics and bonus features have combined to create such a multifaceted experience for our players, and hope that the feedback reflects the hard work that went into the development process.”
