There are only five featured events remaining on the schedule of the Battle of Malta Online at GGPoker, including the massive €2,500,000 guaranteed Main Event. “Runnersx2” is one player who is likely to buy into the €555 Battle of Malta Online Main Event after taking down the largest prize of the festival so far.
“Runnersx2” was the last player standing in Event #11: €550 Grand Harbour Superstack and GGPoker rewarded them with an impressive €105,113, the biggest score to date. The tournament attracted 1,428 players who created a €746,130 prize pool that the top 206 finishers shared. A min-cashed weighed in at €952 but the least any of the nine finalists walked away with was a bankroll-boosting €10,566.
Israel’s “Mooshtako” was the player who received the final table’s first payout. Gabriel “gtavares10” Costa and “MegaLowBoy” joined the Israeli on the sidelines with prizes of €14,090 and €18,790, respectively.
Sixth place and €25,057 went to Daniel “Tournmination” Petersen, before Santiago “La Papualda” Varela ran out of steam and had to make do with the €33,414 fifth place prize.
The pay jumps continued increasing, with Brazilian sensation Brunno Botteon getting his hands on €44,559 when he busted in fourth. Heads-up was set when Estonian grinder Karl “HotBoy19” Mets bowed out and collected €59,421.
“Runnersx2” and Shiao “Mr_3rdBullet” Zhang clashed in the one-on-one section of the Grand Harbour Superstack. Zhang may want to consider changing his alias to “Mr_5thBullet” because that’s how many he fired in this event. Anyway, Zhang fell at the final hurdle and saw that fifth €550 bullet turn into a cool €79,239, leaving “Runnersx2” to capture the title and an impressive €105,113.
