  • Saudi Arabia defeats Argentina in Major Upset

Argentina losses a match in their contest of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in a major upset fashion. Saudi Arabia’s big – time victory on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022 is considered one of the hugest shocks in the entire history of World Cup play.

Entering this game Argentina was one of the leading favorites to hoist the World Cup trophy when it is all said and done, but things most certainly have changed since then. Argentina absolutely dominated the first – half of the match, and they carried a 1 to 0 lead into the halftime break due to Lionel Messi’s penalty shot goal out in Qatar last Tuesday.

Saudi Arabia stunned the world by scoring twice over the course of approximately 5 – minutes during the second – half on goals by Saleh Al-Shehri as well as Salem Al-Dawsari. Saudi Arabia’s go – ahead goal was probably the best shot of the 2022 FIFA World Cup competition so far during this wonderful tournament.

Argentina now will have to bounce back strong against a tough and gritty Mexico on Saturday, November 26th, 2022 or they might find themselves not making it out of the group stage of this year’s World Cup.

  • Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United Part Ways

According to Manchester United the club and their Portuguese superstar striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, have mutually decided to part ways and terminate Ronaldo’s contract effective immediately.

This news comes following Cristiano publicly making disrespectful comments about the Manchester United head coach in Erik ten Hag. Although their manager Erik proclaimed that he would be disciplining Ronaldo for his distasteful remarks, the Manchester United football club decided the juice wasn’t worth the squeeze with Cristiano anymore as they were content with parting ways with the 37 – year – old forward.

As of now Cristiano Ronaldo will have to join another team after the 2022 FIFA World Cup for club competitions moving forward. For the time being there are no indications of where Ronaldo will end up, but I assume it will be a powerhouse football club.

The Portuguese midfielder, Bernardo Silva, had this to say regarding the Ronaldo drama, “I don’t understand your persistence on this subject because there is nothing. It is a shame to be talking about this Cristiano situation when we have a World Cup to play.”

  • Germany gets upset by Japan Late in the Match

Germany definitely dominated and controlled the majority of their match against Japan on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022, but Japan kept the game close and they refused to go away without a fight which paid off in a big way for the Japanese national team.

The Samurai Blue came alive after adjusting their style of play late in the second – half versus Germany on Wednesday. Japan played with strong urgency and began attacking the defense of Germany heavily who seemed to have fallen asleep late in this match as Japan scored two late goals to complete their comeback win in this instant classic match from Qatar.

Germany will unfortunately have to play the completely electric and offensive juggernaut in Spain next on Saturday, November 26th, 2022. Spain easily burned Costa Rica in their opening match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a final score of 7 to nil. Germany seems to be on the cusp of elimination if they don’t have a statement win versus Spain this weekend.
