Play’n GO breaks its record for number of rounds played in a single day

Swedish gaming studio Play’n GO announced on Friday that it has broken its record for the number of rounds played in a single day.

“Underlining the enduring strength of the company and continued growth across global regulated markets, Play’n GO recorded close to a quarter of a billion rounds on 1 November – an all-time record for the nearly 20-year-old company,” the company announced in a press statement.

The new record follows a string of other achievements this year by the iGaming content supplier, including launching with major Tier 1 customers such as Sky, Sisal, BetMGM and Betway.

The company, renowned for developing products such as the popular Book of Dead franchise, also went live in land-based environments for the first time, garnered licenses across a number of iGaming States in the US, and launched global Network Leaderboard promotions across multiple countries and operators.

Magnus Olsson, Chief Commercial Officer at Play’n GO, said: “Continuing to break our own records is a testament to the hard work of everyone at Play’n GO, and to the appetite of players around the world for our games.

Our titles continue to be extremely sticky with the millions of unique players who enjoy our games every single day, and with blockbuster titles like Gargantoonz still on the horizon in 2023 we may finish the year with more records set. I’m really proud of our entire team at Play’n GO and it’s brilliant for everyone to be rewarded with a new all-time high.”

Founded in 2005, Play’n GO is the creator of some of the world’s most-played online casino games including Book of Dead, Reactoonz and Moon Princess. The company’s games are enjoyed by more than one million players every day. Today, the supplier delivers 300 premium titles to regulated operators in more than 25 jurisdictions.

Play’n GO’s new record follows the provider’s launch of a new Ancient China-inspired slot called Legacy of Dynasties earlier this week. The game invites players to uncover lost relics of the Three Kingdoms hidden within a modest antique shop.

For the game, Play’n GO delves into one of the most popular eras of Chinese history. This romanticized period of time is filled with war, intrigue, and power grabs as the country fractured into three, notes the supplier. Players can spin the 5×3 reels to create winning combinations as they find antique items related to the era and earn bonuses.
