Latest News

Bragg Gaming Group has taken a significant step in the Italian gambling market by announcing the launch of its proprietary slot content, now certified for Italy, with Sisal, a leading Italian operator in online casino, sports betting, and lottery. This partnership marks a notable advancement in Bragg’s strategy to cement its presence in Italy’s vibrant gambling sector.

The deal will see Sisal incorporate numerous high-performing slot titles from Bragg’s studios, Atomic Slot Lab and Indigo Magic. Among the included games are “Egyptian Magic,” “Fairy Dust,” and “Cai Fu Emperor Ways” from Atomic Slot Lab, along with “Sevens & Suns,” “Alpha Gold,” and “Phoenix Fury” from Indigo Magic. These games are noted for their innovative features, themes, and mechanics inspired by popular land-based casino slots in North America, tailored for the online environment.

Bragg’s Atomic Slot Lab studio is renowned for integrating insights from successful land-based slots to craft a new generation of online content. On the other hand, Indigo Magic focuses on creating games that adhere to the latest best practices in game development, while also considering local preferences and trends to produce next-generation gaming content.

Localized for the Italian Market

All games delivered to the Italian market through Sisal will be distributed via Bragg’s Remote Gaming Server (RGS), a platform licensed and certified to operate in over 25 regulated markets worldwide. This content rollout is part of Bragg’s ongoing content distribution agreement with Microgame, initially established in March 2022.

Since its entrance into the Italian market in 2023, Bragg has localized and certified over 45 online casino games in the region. This portfolio includes contributions from both Bragg’s in-house studios and its Powered By Bragg partners, significantly enriching the local gaming landscape.

Stefano Santagostino, Associate Product Manager at Sisal, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We’re excited to be able to offer our players exclusive content from Bragg Gaming for the first time. Having the latest impactful online slots are a must for Sisal as we look to springboard growth in the Italian market.”

Karl Grech, Head of Business Development at Bragg, also commented on the strategic partnership: “We’re committed to launching proprietary and exclusive online casino content with leading operators in the largest regulated markets in the world, and our agreement with Sisal concerning Italy underlines the success we are having in pursuing this approach.”

The Growing Italian iGaming Market

According to recent data from H2 Gambling Capital, Italy’s total online gambling market is expected to grow by over 16% year-on-year in 2024, reaching $3.4 billion. Casino gaming gross gambling revenue (GGR) alone is forecast to increase by 18% to $3.1 billion. This growth makes Italy the second largest regulated iGaming market in Europe after the UK.

Amidst these expansions, Italy is revising its regulatory framework under the ‘Reorganization of Gambling’ decree. This revision includes an increase in license fees for online gambling, which are set to rise to €7 million for a nine-year license, up from €200,000 since 2018. Additionally, new technical requirements will mandate player-imposed limits on gameplay, and Italy’s ADM regulator will gain enhanced powers to tackle unlicensed online gambling activities.
