Pragmatic Play has analyzed and issued an assessment of its growing presence in Latin America in 2021, and especially after the opening of its LatAm hub in June 2020, based in Argentina and led by Victor Arias, Vice President of Latin America operations.

Throughout 2021, the iGaming content supplier’s focus in Latin America has “delivered extraordinary results, with our ambitious plans to bring our multiproduct offering to operators all across the continent being realised,” the company said in an editorial release this week. “Our goal is to be the premier supplier of iGaming content in LatAm, and the steps we’ve taken this year have driven Pragmatic Play forward in the region as well as worldwide.”

Over the last 12 months, Pragmatic Play has managed to sign commercial deals with partners all over the continent, expanding its multi-product offering and winning awards, which has contributed to “a whirlwind year that has left us extremely hopeful about what we can achieve in 2022.”

The company further explained that part of its success last year has been driven by the spread of operators it has partnered with, therefore increasing the breadth of its player base. “We’ve signed partners from Argentina to Mexico, from Peru to Brazil and everything in-between. Our leading slots offering, Live Casino products, increasingly popular Virtual Sports and innovative Bingo games all bring something fresh and exciting for players, and we work closely with operators to ensure their needs are filled.”

Latin America is a region that is embracing iGaming regulation with real gusto which is evident from the increasing legislation in regions and jurisdictions across the continent, most recently in Buenos Aires City, allowing us to even further broaden our horizons,” Pragmatic Play noted.

The company also highlighted the awarding of numerous awards in LatAm and worldwide. For instance, Gates of Olympus was named Game of the Year at two separate awards, the Gaming Intelligence Latin America Awards and the global EGR Operator Awards. Pragmatic Play was also named Casino and Slots provider of the Year at the SBC Awards to close out 2021, while winning the Games Provider of the Year category at the Brazilian iGaming Summit.

In addition, in terms of product development, Pragmatic Play said it has been an “incredibly exciting year”, which has “really propelled the business.” For example, Sweet Bonanza: Candyland combines both Live Casino and the slot genre, giving players “the best of both genres in a thrilling title with huge win potential.” Other top-performing releases include the latest adventure of the world-famous explorer John Hunter, Book of Fallen, and the Christmas-themed instalment of the company’s fishing extravaganza, Christmas Big Bass Bonanza.

“We’re very proud of what we’ve achieved in 2021. Our first full year with our LatAm hub has been marked by exceptional growth and the accolades to match. Our team has grown across the region, conforming a great team with amazing professionals from six different countries as we gain serious momentum. However, that doesn’t mean we’re content to just rest on our laurels. The hard work of everyone throughout the business has allowed us to continue to go above and beyond for our operator partners, and we can’t wait to bring even more success to them in 2022. It was a year to remember, but it doesn’t mean we’ll be stopping there!” the company concluded.
