Swedish online casino operator Kindred Group has announced its receipt of a license from the gaming regulator for the Netherlands some eight months after it voluntarily agreed to leave the small nation’s newly-regulated iGaming market.

The Stockholm-listed firm used an official press release to describe the award from the Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) watchdog as ‘an important part’ of its strategy of operating in locally-licenced markets that is to see its Unibet.nl domain go live for iGaming aficionados located from Eemshaven to Epen ‘in the coming days.’

Exhaustive evaluation:

Established in 1997, Kindred Group is responsible for a plethora of mobile-friendly iGaming domains including 32Red.com, Bingo.com and MariaCasino.com and it vacated the online gambling market of the Netherlands in October so as not to prejudice its attempt at securing one of the country’s new licenses. The operator declared that it now holds certifications from regulators in 20 jurisdictions with the most recent triumph following ‘an extensive application process’ that had encompassed the successful completion of ‘relevant audits.’

Admirable aim:

Henrik Tjarnstrom serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Kindred Group and he used the press release to designate the Netherlands as ‘a large and important European market’ for his firm as it endeavors to ‘increase its share of revenues from locally-regulated markets.’ The boss went on to proclaim that he is now looking forward to launching his company’s Unibet.nl domain onto the Dutch online gaming scene and running the site under the tenets of the local Remote Gambling Act of 2019.

Read a statement from Tjarnstrom…

“We have been advocating local licence schemes for the past decade and are thrilled that our newly-awarded licence in the Netherlands will allow us to deepen and develop our involvement in Dutch society as well as actively contribute to a fair and sustainable gambling market. As part of our long-term ambitions and strategy, we are eager to provide a safe, secure and entertaining gambling experience for Dutch customers.”

Devoted desire:

For her part and Anne-Jaap Snijders serves as the Chief Commercial Officer for Kindred Group and she pronounced that her firm is ‘fully committed’ towards establishing itself as ‘a responsible, trustworthy and valuable gambling operator’ in the Netherlands. She furthermore noted that the company will be hosting a capital markets day on September 14 in London where its investors will be able to learn about ‘the group’s long-term strategic direction’ as well as its specific plans for the Dutch iGaming market.

A statement from Snijders read…

“Our corporate purpose to ‘transform gambling by being a trusted source of entertainment that contributes positively to society’ sits at the heart of our Unibet Impact program, which is solely dedicated to fostering a safer and more responsible online gambling industry.
