Pragmatic Play expands Ontario presence through new content deal with NorthStar Bets

Industry

iGaming industry content provider Pragmatic Play has further grown its footprint in North America after partnering with Ontario-based iGaming operator NorthStar Gaming.

The agreement will see Pragmatic Play supply its complete portfolio of slots content to NorthStar Gaming, which operates in the Canadian province of Ontario. As part of the agreement, NorthStar Bets players will have access to the provider’s games including popular titles Sugar Rush, Gates of Olympus, and Big Bass Splash.

NorthStar Gaming owns and operates NorthStar Bets, a made-in-Ontario casino and sportsbook gaming platform. The NorthStar Bets sportsbook provides real-time news, stats, analysis, and scores directly in the betting environment along with online casino games.

This partnership marks the latest expansion for what Pragmatic Play labels as “a key emerging territory,” with Ontario “quickly establishing itself as a major gaming market” in North America following legalization in April 2022.

Irina Cornides, Chief Operating Officer at Pragmatic Play, said: “We’re delighted to partner with NorthStar Gaming and to add to NorthStar Bets’ online casino offering with our award-winning slots. The NorthStar team has a strong vision of what they can achieve in the growing Canadian market, and we’re excited to deliver our content within the immersive NorthStar Bets online casino for slots fans to enjoy.”

Michael Moskowitz, Chief Executive Officer, and a founding partner at NorthStar Gaming, commented: “Pragmatic Play’s award-winning slot portfolio provides NorthStar Bets with content that is proven to be a huge success in multiple markets globally. We’re excited to provide our players with an immersive and content-driven gaming experience that also features some of the most popular slots.”

The deal follows a number of recent commercial deals for Pragmatic Play, including partnerships with bet365, 500 Casino, and Fortuna Entertainment Group, among others. Earlier this week, the company established a partnership with Swiss-facing operator Casinò Lugano, launching its slot products through the online brand Swiss4Win.
