Washington’s Tulalip Resort Casino, operated by the Tulalip Tribes in the Marysville area, has announced plans for an expansion and renovation. The project will add 70,250 square feet to the existing 20-year-old property, which currently spans 192,000 square feet, bringing the total area of the casino to 262,000 square feet. Moreover, the plan will see the introduction of new features, as well as internal and external upgrades, aimed at enhancing the visitor experience.

The resort features a 12-story hotel with 370 rooms, an extensive gaming area including sports betting through DraftKings, meeting and event space, various restaurants, and a full-service spa. It also includes a 3,000-seat amphitheater.

Since its opening in 2003, with an initial cost of $78 million, the casino has undergone expansion and improvements in the following years, including a $15 million renovation in 2016. No specific details about what the new expansion will feature or the anticipated construction cost have been shared thus far, although commencement of the work is planned for this year, with completion expected by the end of 2025.

Marci Fryberg, President andCOO of the Tulalip Gaming Organization, highlighted the tribes’ ongoing commitment to offering a top-tier resort. “This project exemplifies our continued devotion to providing guests with all the comforts, amenities, and services one expects in a premier destination resort,” she said.

Most recently, Tulalip Resort Casino earned top honors in seven categories in the Seattle Times “Best in the PNW” readers’ poll receiving Gold awards for Best Casino, Best Casino Entertainment, Best Resort, Best Paying Slots, Best Table Games, Best Spa and Best Sportsbook.
