Labor Day in Las Vegas 2024

Industry

Planning to spend Labor Day in Las Vegas? We have found some of the most popular, fun, and interesting things to do in Sin City this year! You can spend the big three-day weekend attending concerts, hitting  pool parties, taking in a comedy show, and then dancing and drinking in the top rated night clubs!

Kids are getting ready to head back to school and football season is right around the corner, but before everything turns into Pumpkin Spice this and Pumpkin Spice that, summer has one last big weekend! When we began looking at how to spend Labor Day in Las Vegas, we quickly realized: People do not celebrate Labor Day in Las Vegas… rather they go to Las Vegas to celebrate Labor Day! And that is an important distinction because no one is walking up and down the Strip going: Woo! Labor Day!

With this in mind we went searching for what was happening in Sin City over the holiday weekend, rather than specific Labor Day events… and boy did we find one hell of a deal with the Exodus Festival, which runs the entire weekend! Grab their party pass and get VIP access to to more than 10 nightclubs, plus pool parties with 20 of the world’s biggest DJs! And speaking of nightclubs and pools, our friends at Vegas.com have recommended these top spots for all your late night entertainment needs. And then the next morning, you can recover besides some of  Vegas’s best pools! Many of which feature reserved seating, day beds, Cabanas and dedicated children’s areas.

Now I realize I’ve given you a lot of information very quickly, but I wanted to take a moment to let you know that I’ve link to everything I’m discussing in this article, including some amazing concerts and comedians performing over the holiday… from Dane Cook to Christina Aguilera, and from Boyz II Men to Lil Wayne. Plus, you can catch the Chain Smokers as well as the hilarious Howie Mandel. And country music star Shania Twain will be in town along with Babyface and Bruno Mars. Plus, if you stick around through Labor Day you can catch the comedy of Kevin Hart.

Now, if clubbing and sunbathing ain’t your thing no problem, because Labor Day in Las Vegas has a little something-something for everybody. For you Rock and Roll types out there, we have Sammy’s Island at the Palms, a tropical beach experience with a pool island from legendary rocker Sammy Hagar, with a vibrant blend of food, alcohol, and live music. Country music fans can check out Ole Red, Blake Sheldon’s club with live music and a kiss my ass attitude, located just outside of the Horseshoe. If neither of those are quite your style, try the Ski Lodge at Cosmo… themed like a resort with a roaring fire, cabin Style Bar, and snowy views, serving amazing pizza and cocktails. Plus, you can still find a deal on dining at Ellis Island with their top sirloin steak special. And after a good dinner, what could beat a great cigar at the Montecristo Cigar Bar, located at The Paris.

And finally this week, we round out our list of Las Vegas Labor Day events with sports, and what says fall is here more than college football! The Vegas Kickoff Classic is taking place Sunday, September 1st at Allegiant Stadium, with LSU squaring off against USC. There’s also professional basketball at Mandalay Bay on August 30th, where current WNBA Champs the Los Vegas Aces take on the Atlanta Dream. And if pickle ball is your thing there’s a tournament at Fontainebleau from August 30th through September 1st, which is open to the public. Personally I will not be playing
in that tournament, mostly because I don’t like pickle ball, and because I don’t usually play with my pickle… at least not in public. You can still get arrested for that, even in Vegas.
