Global Gaming Expo (G2E) begins this week in Las Vegas

Casino News

The Global Gaming Expo (G2E) is back in business. Gaming industry members are ready to reunite and discuss all aspects of gambling, with commercial and tribal gaming professionals set to attend. From October 4-7, visitors can take part in educational experiences while the 5-7 will also include an exposition of all the latest technology and innovative content. The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas is playing host to the event.

The American Gaming Association is the operator of the expo, and they say that this year, the focus will be on quality instead of quantity. Usually, the expo sees around 27,000 individuals taking part. The number this year will be significantly lower due to the continued threat of COVID-19 and issues with international travel.

Keynote Speakers

Early on, the expo will feature keynote speakers, individuals within the industry that will discuss important topics that play a role today. Such topics as industry growth, digital payments, sports betting, and payment modernization will be reviewed.

Tomorrow, a panel is on the schedule to discuss prioritizing diversity within the industry. Also taking place on Tuesday, AGA President and CEO Bill Miller will provide the state of the industry address. A panel discussing the recovery of the industry from the pandemic will also take place featuring Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak and Representative Dina Titus.

Displaying New Game Innovations

While patrons attend the expo to hear from industry insiders, they also want to see the latest developments of games and devices from developers and top-rated companies. New slots and table games along with other devices will be highlighted during the show. It’s a time for developers to showcase their new wares and for casinos to get excited about what’s to come.

Nick Khin, the chief operating officer for gaming at IGT, stated that the theme for the brand this year is ‘It’s Game Time’. Khin stated that the theme is appropriate for the company because this year is a big one for the products they are showcasing. Khin stated:

“This year’s a special year because a lot of the products and solutions we’re going to be showing are going to have a big impact on the marketplace in general over the next few years.”

Other companies will be on hand as well like Scientific Games Corp., Aristocrat Gaming, JCM Global, and Gary Platt Manufacturing. Attendees will have plenty to explore in the Expo Hall and it will be exciting to see what new innovations will be released this year and into 2022.

This year’s G2E will definitely be different from last year. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the event had to go virtual and offered a small online event. Keynote speakers were offered, but guests missed out on the excitement of getting to explore the latest creations from developers.
