On Wednesday, May 18th, 2022 the high – powered German club, Eintracht Frankfurt, defeated the Rangers in shootouts during the 2021 – 2022 Europa League Finals. Eintracht Frankfurt’s 42 – year – old wait for that elusive European trophy is now finally over.
Huge Save!!!!!!
The very important goal – keeper of Eintracht Frankfurt, Kevin Trapp, came up with a huge save at such the significant part of the match which just so happened to be during the tail – end of extra time, and he managed to scrape up another one in the shootout in order to assist Eintracht Frankfurt with the 5 to 4 win on penalty – kicks. The contest finished 1 to 1 following regulation as well as extra time.

The veteran goal – tender used his left – leg to make a stop on Aaron Ramsey’s penalty – kick during the shootout, popping – off some serious celebrations by Eintracht Frankfurt’s “white wall” of loyal supporters in back of the opposite goal.
As expected, there were also some extremely wild and crazy celebrations back in Germany as Eintracht Frankfurt supporters crammed the football club’s stadium in order to view a telecast of the 2021 – 2022 Europa League finals.
Joe Aribo somehow managed to put the Rangers in front during the 57th – minute, and Borré equalized during the 69th– minute of game action for Eintracht Frankfurt, who became just the 3rd – football club to make it through the Europa League undefeated following the lead of the 1st – team to do that in Chelsea back in 2019 and the 2nd – team to go unbeaten throughout the Europa League in Villarreal back in the year of 2021.
The former Arsenal as well as Juventus midfielder, Ramsey, came in to the game during the final several – minutes of extra – time in order to participate in the decisive shootout. “You have to score those, especially in the last minutes,” the Rangers head coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst reiterated.
The Rangers were attempting to come out victorious during their 1st – European championship title since the Cup Winners’ Cup way back in the year of 1972. The historic Scottish football club also lost to Zenit St. Petersburg during the 2008 UEFA Cup. They were trying to pull – off an amazing comeback 10 – years following them being sent to the lower – divisions due to a significant financial break – down.
“It’s going to be a sore one to take,” the Ranger’s midfielder Steven Davis stated. “We know how difficult it will be to get to this stage again.”
Eintracht Frankfurt will return back to the top – flight division of the European competition for the 1st – time since way back in 1960, when they lost in the European Cup final to the dominant football club of Real Madrid in Glasgow, Scotland.
The match had been very close and balanced by both sides up until Eintracht Frankfurt’s Brazilian – native defender Tuta made a crucial mistake, who somehow tripped while he was attempting to try and chase down a pedestrian back header. That mistake enabled Aribo to speed right past him which opened the goal scoring tally at Sevilla’s Ramón Sánchez – Pizjuán Stadium by smoothly and steadily pushed a low – shot past the usually sure – handed Trapp defending goal.
Tuta needed to be substituted for following him being injured on the play. That was Aribo’s 1st – Europa League goal – score during this season.
Eintracht Frankfurt equalized 12 – minutes later on when Borré slid in between 2 – defensemen in order to convert on a cross – kick by Kostic from back in the left flank position. Fan Violence
