Just days before the start of the first edition of SBC Summit Rio 2024, event organizers announced that WA.Technology, a global provider of B2B solutions, will be the title sponsor of an exclusive poker tournament to be held during the summit, which will take place on March 5-7 at the Windsor Convention & Expo Center.

SBC Summit Rio 2024 organizers highlighted that WA.Technology’s customer-centric approach and ingenious technology have helped it “establish a strong presence in multiple markets,” especially in fast-growing ones such as Brazil. For this reason, they considered the inaugural SBC Rio event “ideal for showcasing the company’s latest and upcoming product enhancements.”

The exclusive, invitation-only poker tournament, organized by WA.Technology, will have a completely free entry pass and will be held at the Windsor Barra Hotel on Tuesday, March 5, as a prelude to the opening party, which will take place later on Ilha Itanhangá.

The event is intended to be a friendly competition that offers selected summit attendees the opportunity to have fun, network, and win prizes. The three prizes to be won at the tournament are: two tickets to the UEFA Champions Cup Final at Wembley (with flights and accommodation); two Camarote tickets to the Rio Championship Final and the official jersey of the finalist teams; and dinner for two at the OTEQUE restaurant in Rio de Janeiro.

The competition will feature seven poker tables managed by professional dealers, ensuring an immersive experience for the 60 invited players. With breaks scheduled every hour and a half, participants will enjoy a relaxed yet competitive atmosphere, all complemented by an open bar, courtesy of WA.Technology.

On the other hand, the free poker tournament will provide players with the ideal opportunity to learn more about the latest developments that will enhance WA.Technology’s WA.Poker vertical in the near future.

Powered by the company’s flagship WA.Platform, the anticipated update to WA.Poker is designed with “both operators and players’ in mind,” the firm said, adding: ‘It enhances the poker experience through a simple integration, exceptional user engagement, and a suite of features designed to meet the needs of all poker players.”

This sponsorship is a further step in WA.Technology’s strengthening of its presence in the Latin American market, as it recently added strategic partnerships, such as with Latam Entertainment, and key appointments such as Waldir Marques as Director of Regulatory Affairs. “These efforts, combined with the introduction of the updated WA.Platform, demonstrate WA.Technology’s ability to deliver personalized and localized online gaming experiences that drive operator revenue and improve player engagement across the region,” the company said in a statement.

Attendees at SBC Summit Rio will be able to visit WA.Technology and meet the team at booth A320 on the lower floor, where they can explore the company’s full spectrum of online gaming solutions and discover more about its latest enhancements and upgrades. The company added that those interested in learning more about WA.Poker or scheduling a meeting with the WA.Technology team at SBC Summit Rio can get in touch at [email protected].
